The Blacklist Season 3 – Zal Bin Hasaan

Now I understand why this photo is among the teasers for the episode. This episode is all about agent Navabi, her past, her story, and her emotions. And it’s exciting to get deeper into the lives of the characters in the show, especially the supporting ones, and see how they fit in to the overall big picture.

It’s not uncommon to have a former Mossad agent working for FBI or CIA, but it’s quite a thing to have an Iranian girl who went on to join Mossad then moved on to FBI at the recommendation of a notorious crime lord. All the while, I had a feeling that she is more than just a normal agent. After all, it takes something special to be in the radar of Red, and he only keeps those who have special niches that may be useful for him at some points in his journey. So far, Navabi has proven herself valuable to the task force, but what value will she bring to Red, well, time will tell, but at least it’s no harm to have someone close that you can still turn to within the task force, especially now that it’s within the radar of the Cabal as a link to Reddington.

Back to the episode, it’s another fast paced, action packed mini story, and another step for Red to get to the heart of the Cabal. It’s not very clear yet what he will gain by turning Hasaan in and earning a meeting request, who he will meet and what that meeting will be useful for him, but at least he seems pleased, so things must have been going the way he wants them to be. Let’s see how it plays out. They are nearer than ever to their goal now, but from the teaser of the next episode, there will be some surprising twists in store, and that’s what make the season more and more exciting.

From the dire situation at the beginning of the episode when they had to run for their lives, things have been getting better for Red and Liz, episode after episode. Now they have a few aces to play, and the Director has lost a fair bit of the game. With access to Karakurt, thanks to the much cooler Tom (really, he was charming when he held Liz’s hand and talked to her so sweetly in the restaurant, that guy’s a keeper now), and the team back stronger than ever, they stand a much better chance now. Hopefully they will be able to capitalise on that and at least clear Liz’s name by the end of this season, so that the next one will be the all out world against the Cabal monster. 🙂

Now, as usual, some teasers of the next episode. Just a few more days to wait, and it seems to be worth it, judging from the photos alone.

Not sure what happened, but he seemed very worried, and when this guy is worried, something must have gone terribly wrong, so it’s quite worrying.

Liz looks tense again, but hey, she has been looking tense the whole season, so it may be no big deal after all

Wow wow wow what the hell? Who is this lucky bastard, and where is our Tom?

OMG. Seriously, where are you, Tom?

Really, something is not right. What is happening and who can make him bleed? Can’t wait until Friday to find out.
